Description Stefano Priore 2009-06-24 10:01:22 UTC
Currently app-text/textfilters installs its files in /usr/bin: given their funny nature, wouldn't /usr/games/bin be more appropriate?
Comment 1 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-24 11:14:25 UTC
I cannot find app-text/textfilters in our tree so I assume you mean app-text/talkfilters instead?
Comment 2 Stefano Priore 2009-06-24 14:29:20 UTC
Yes... lapsus digiti! ;)
Comment 3 Jeremy Olexa (darkside) (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2009-06-24 14:32:48 UTC
meh, I have no opinion. Does the games team?
Comment 4 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-24 14:39:08 UTC
I think that would be inconsistent with the rest of the tree. I don't think we have anything else outside the games-* categories that installs under /usr/games.
Comment 5 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-10 16:05:41 UTC
Also talkfilters although funny are not games. Some code makes me laugh but compilers are not games for sure ;) Also moving them into games will force users to be in games group... So I think it's better not to fix this bug.
