Plz update /etc/conf.d/net.example (1) with /usr/share/doc/openrc/net.example. (1) - contains outdated reference to /etc/conf.d/wireless.example(2) (2) - on ~x86 have no longer belong to any package.
The second observation explains the first, i.e. it is outdated because packages are not keeping the example file in /etc/conf.d any more -- /usr/share/doc/openrc/net.example is the authoritative place to look now. http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/openrc-migration.xml Thanks for bothering to fill out a report, but I think this bug can be closed as a misunderstanding since the developers have intentionally moved net.example, and you happen to have an old one left over from an earlier baselayout (the stale net.example didn't get deleted because it was in /etc and thus subject to "config file protection").
I know about moving net.example to /usr/share/doc/openrc/ but many people have and use old config, so mbe you can add information about obsolete config in http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/openrc-migration.xml doc ?
