I've been using apcupsd for a while, and it's fine. But there's this minor problem with one of the file locations. The file: "/etc/apache/conf/addon-modules/apcupsd.conf" should actually be located in: "/etc/apache2/conf/addon-modules/apcupsd.conf" if the user has set "+apache2" in their USE variable. I'm using apache2, and that is the only file that exists under "/etc/apache". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Acually... :) maybe the file should be in: "/etc/apache/conf/modules.d/apcupsd.conf" I'm no apache[2] guru, but I know it's gotta be under "/etc/apache2" at least.
i think apcupdsd has nothing to do with printing ...
> i think apcupdsd has nothing to do with printing ... Well, I'd say that I agree. That's why I never refered to printing. "apcupsd.conf" configures apache[2] to serve up the apcupsd CGI interface. The only connection I see b/n apcupsd and printing is apCUPSd (like Common Unix Printing System or something?). <shrug>
This should really be fixed.
Definitely something for the web-apps herd to look at. Stu
as no one moved... I added this feature in the apcupsd-3.10.6.ebuild. Will close this bug now.
Closing.
