Both pidgin and pango were rebuild a couple of weeks ago, but I've only noticed these crashes in the last couple of days.

Can you try with 2.5.9 or 2.6.1 ?
Comment 2 Mart Raudsepp gentoo-dev 2009-09-19 14:59:57 UTC
Also with pango-2.14.5 or newer the crash _might_ get downgraded to a critical warning (2.14.2 and 2.14.3 had a packaging problem and disabled some safeguards in pango). Though if this does downgrade the crash to a warning, such a critical warning should still get fixed.
pango-2.14.5-r1 will be stabilized very soon now, so might not need to get an ~arch even for that :)
Comment 3 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-17 17:01:22 UTC
No answer for a long time. Closing.
