Description Lubos Kolouch 2009-06-10 07:55:04 UTC
If you enable KMS in kernel on intel graphics card and you press
alt enter in dosbox,

the resultin "full screen" window is not fullscreen/resized, but the
screen stays same with black border around it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable KMS in kernel
2. Start dosbox
3. Press alt enter

Actual Results:
The text/graphics in window stay the same size with black border around it filling rest of the screen

Expected Results:
The text/graphics is resized to fill in the whole screen

Comment 9 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-12 07:20:46 UTC
@games, what does dosbox use to render to screen? SDL? Pure opengl?

Thanks
Comment 10 Lubos Kolouch 2009-06-12 07:25:06 UTC
I built it with following USE flags :

[ebuild R ] games-emulation/dosbox-0.73 USE="alsa opengl -debug -hardened" 1,250 kB
Comment 11 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-12 15:04:24 UTC
It depends on what you've told it to use in the config file but it seems like Lubos is using the opengl renderer.

dosbox probably prints out what config file its using when it's started.
Comment 12 Lubos Kolouch 2009-06-12 16:58:53 UTC
Actually it behaves the same if I put output=opengl, surface or overlay...
Comment 13 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-22 09:51:54 UTC
Please file a bug upstream in FreeDesktop's bugzilla [1] and paste the url here so I can track it.

Don't forget to mention how UMS works but not KMS.

Thanks
