Plain text is preferable. * autocreate plugin promoted to mainline in dovecot-1.2.0 (with a few others). So moot point in this case. * I am not sure if having a seperate package for somewhat experimental plugins (in the dovecot/patches dir) is desirable.
(In reply to comment #5) > * Please don't compress your ebuilds. Plain text is preferable. Well, but it suckz to download single files from bugzilla with wget, they don't have correct naming by default. > * autocreate plugin promoted to mainline in dovecot-1.2.0 (with a few others). > So moot point in this case. Yes, that's why these ebuilds explicitly require '=net-mail/dovecot-1.1*' > * I am not sure if having a seperate package for somewhat experimental plugins > (in the dovecot/patches dir) is desirable. > Like to be bleeding edge, but agreed, there's still room for improvement. Some of the hardcoded stuff is not enjoyed widely. HTH, Oliver
There is now a new version of dovecot (1.2.6) and a new deleted-to-trash-plugin. I've attached an ebuild that will download and install the deleted-to-trash plugin. There's no need to put the .c and .h files in the dovecot/files directory of your local repository any longer, but you will need to copy /usr/portage/net-mail/dovecot/files/dovecot.init-r2 into it to install the init script. The new plugin looks better than the old one because it marks read/deleted messages as unread.

I've just updated the deleted_to_trash plugin: http://wiki.dovecot.org/Plugins/deleted-to-trash to v0.3, an ebuild is available on the dovecot wiki.
Intriguing package :)
Yes, it is. My suggestion is to keep the bug open and revisit when dovecot-2.0 is out. We can decide at that time.

Not compatible with dovecot-2.0 as it is currently. Needs some work. I am not sure if we should package this plugin (small target audience, do we have an upstream?) Packaging is easy, maintaining it might be a problem. Let's not install any experimental plugins as part of the dovecot ebuild?
As pva is inactive and i've taken maintainance over rrdtool, i'm ok with your idea. Please go on, also notice that rrdtool-1.4.7-r1 has just appeared.
Sorry, wrong tab
deleted_to_trash added as the only plugin
