A newer version (2004) is out. The ebuild needs some love though. It has no SITEFILE and searches for its executables in /usr/local
Created attachment 193970 [details] remem-2.12.ebuild Here's what I've done so far. Couldn't get it to run, and after some failed attempts my Emacs had lost the keybinding for C-x 1 (delete-other-window). I've tried with Emacs 21 too, but also no success.

Fork/New Upstream/Whatever is here: <https://projects.pekdon.net/projects/remem> Since the page says that it's "not complete, well tested or intended for production use", I'd suggest we punt the package in the main tree. In case there's interest of users, we can make a live ebuild in the Emacs overlay (move it to app-emacs too).
