Description Dmitry Grigoriev 2009-06-08 18:55:58 UTC
I moved from solid KDE ebuilds to kdebase-startkde some days ago, and yesterday upgraded to KDE 3.5.10. Now on any *.chm file kchmviewer says:

An error occurred while loading ms-its:/share/doc/php/php5.chm::/res/pdostatement.fetchcolumn.html:
Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'ms-its'.
.

This is likely missing dependency.

I cannot find on google what to do; only some Ubuntu (or SUSE?) recipes about installing kio-msits, but found nothing like that in Gentoo.

Workaround: use QTextBrowser based widget (Settings - Change Settings - Version Specific settings).

Hi Peter. I cannot test it because I cannot switch back from QTextBrowser-based widget (which was recommended in comment #2 and which I use without any troble): that radio buttnos are disabled (please see screenshot).
