On the default xterm, the output for java-config is nigh-unreadable.  Right now
I have the Blackdown JDK and JRE installed, and you can see how it looks at
http://apocalyptech.com/linux/gentoo/javaconfig.png

Ideally java-config would support a "no colors" option to turn off coloration
entirely.

which java-config version are you using, AFAIK, i fixed this on java-config 
0.2.8-r1

Gah, I thought that I had checked to make sure I had the most recent version, but obviously I didn't.  Yeah, this is working perfectly in -r2 (and I presume it was in -r1 as well) - Thanks!
