Please try again with MAKEOPTS="-j1".

Ok, setting MAKEOPTS to -j1 resolve this problem. Thanks!
Comment 3 Martin von Gagern 2009-06-12 18:02:52 UTC
Why is this bug here "RESOLVED FIXED"? Having users add MAKEOPTS=-j1 is useful to diagnose the issue, but not even a serious workaround. And there has been no change to the ebuild, so the bug hit me today as well, for avidemux_ca.xml.

So now we know it's a parallel build thingy, can we get this reopened and either have the ebuild add the -j1 (workaround) or find and resolve the cause of this problem (proper solution)?
Comment 4 Sebastian Luther (few) 2009-06-12 18:16:05 UTC
@reporter: Please never mark bugs as fixed. Invalid is ok if you notice that it was something with your system. It's first fixed if there is a fix in the tree.

@Martin: Sorry, didn't notice it.
Comment 5 Martin von Gagern 2009-06-12 18:22:10 UTC
OK, the issue surfaces in ${S}/po/CMakeFiles/qmfiles.dir/build.make where there are two rules for each of 16 locales. The first builds *.xml from *.ts while the latter builds *.qm from *.xml using lrelease, but only lists *.ts as a dependency, causing these rules to be run while *.xml is still in the making.

The question remains where these rules come from. The file was generated by cmake, but no file in /usr/share/cmake even mentions lrelease, and neither does any file from the qt-core package which provides the qmake binary, or qt-gui which provides the lrelease binary. So we need to find the templates for these rules.

Fix dependency

This should fix it. At least the make file looks sane to me. Running ebuild in a loop right now, just to be sure.

Thank you so much! This patch has been applied now. Reopen this bug if the problem reappears.
