This needs app-emacs/pymacs as dependency and a new package app-emacs/pysmell http://code.google.com/p/pysmell/
wait some one write the ebuild..
(In reply to comment #0) > This needs app-emacs/pymacs as dependency Actually, it needs ropemacs: <http://rope.sourceforge.net/ropemacs.html> Which we don't have yet. > and a new package app-emacs/pysmell That would be dev-python/pysmell I think. It's really a pain in the neck if a package requires refurbishing of the ebuild with new dependencies and USE flags for every minor version bump.

I write some ebuild and install company-mode 0.4.3 with none error.
Created attachment 196581 [details] company-mode-0.4.3.ebuild It's not so easy, unfortunately. For example, we don't want unconditional dependencies on pysmell and pymacs. We could disable these backends for now, see attachment. If you want support for them, then please open separate bugs for app-emacs/ropemacs and dev-python/pysmell (and the latter is one upstream package, so IMHO there shouldn't be a separate app-emacs/pysmell).
Bumped. Thanks.
