Please move glib from DEPEND to RDEPEND. From the supplied URL:

"The latest snapshots (and future releases) of syslog-ng 2.x links to GLib and EventLog statically, thus it will not require those libraries to be present at boot time."

Your patch does the right thing, but just to be clear: What you are requesting is to move glib from RDEPEND to DEPEND. You should also change your patch to reflect the situation for eventlog: "The latest snapshots (and future releases) of syslog-ng 2.x links to GLib and EventLog statically, thus it will not require those libraries to be present at boot time."

Ah, sorry about that. You're absolutely right of course. Will move eventlog to DEPEND as well and test it again the first thing tomorrow morning.

I'm not messing with the stable version.

The deps are correct in the 3.0.x ebuilds.
