There are two issues: - The new plugin status-icon uses notify_notification_attach_to_status_icon, which, according to library.gnome.org [1], has been added since 0.4.1. Created attachment 193231 [details, diff] fix a variety of plugin linking problems I have just had a look at rhythmbox.git and it seems commit 02159da (attached) fix the problem. I have not tested it yet though. And I still think libnotify dep bump is good ;)
Yeah, I just saw that this morning as well. I can't believe they were able to make a release without noticing that... :) Maybe we should just convince upstream to do a new release, the linking patch alone deserves one. Thanks
