I installed easytag-2.1.6 for the first time last week. I now notice that when clicking on GNOME 'Places' menu, Easytag opens instead of Nautilus. This is not the case for the volumes under 'Computer', etc. I puzzled over how easytag could accomplish this misconfiguration with the installed files: # equery files easytag * Searching for easytag ... * Contents of media-sound/easytag-2.1.6: /usr /usr/bin /usr/bin/easytag /usr/share /usr/share/applications /usr/share/applications/easytag.desktop /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/easytag-2.1.6 /usr/share/doc/easytag-2.1.6/ChangeLog.bz2 /usr/share/doc/easytag-2.1.6/README.bz2 /usr/share/doc/easytag-2.1.6/THANKS.bz2 /usr/share/doc/easytag-2.1.6/TODO.bz2 /usr/share/doc/easytag-2.1.6/USERS-GUIDE.bz2 /usr/share/easytag /usr/share/easytag/ChangeLog /usr/share/easytag/EasyTAG_logo.xpm /usr/share/man /usr/share/man/man1 /usr/share/man/man1/easytag.1.bz2 /usr/share/pixmaps /usr/share/pixmaps/EasyTAG_icon.xpm But perhaps the contents of easytag.desktop, specifically MimeType=x-directory/normal; might be the reason. # cat /usr/share/applications/easytag.desktop [Desktop Entry] Name=EasyTAG GenericName=Audio File Tag Viewer/Editor Comment=EasyTAG is an utility for viewing and editing tags for MP3, MP2, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, MusePack and Monkey's Audio files, with a GTK+ GUI. Thanks, fixed in -r1
