PyXML 0.8.3 was released on July 29, 2003. The existing ebuild for PyXML 0.8.2
still works fine for 0.8.3; just "cp PyXML-0.8.2.ebuild PyXML-0.8.3.ebuild".

thanks for your report. pyxml has been updated, and also renamed to be inline with our naming policy.
