Description niteblade 2009-05-30 05:28:53 UTC
If you are using the load average parameter in your $makeopt (-l), jam will complain about some unknown parameter and break.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set MAKEOPTS in /etc/make.conf to include something like "-l 1.4"
2. try to emerge lincity-ng

fixed where? The ebuild avaliable via emerge --sync does still have the problem.
Comment 3 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-05-30 20:53:41 UTC
your mirror is probably slow. It's version 1.3 in the cvs header.
Comment 4 niteblade 2009-08-08 21:18:27 UTC
Call me annoying, but this problem still exists in the portage tree avaliable via emerge --sync and I highly doubt any of the mirror servers has a lag of more than two months. ;)
Comment 5 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-08 21:29:19 UTC
reopen with the output from the attempted build.

You're missing the output from emerge.

Comment 12 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-08 23:28:26 UTC
ok, resync in a bit and it should work now.

The issue was the use of the space in the -j argument. Usually people just do -j3 there instead of -j 3.
