Description Daniel Seyffer 2003-08-23 02:42:28 UTC
Hi,

there is a really nice eDonkey2000 GUI which can be found at Sourceforge (see
http://ed2k-gtk-gui.sourceforge.net/). I just created this ebuild.

Compiles and runs fine for me altough I could not connect to an eDonkey2000 so
far - I only have an mldonkey here running on another system (which should
probably also work but I didn't try so far).

Maybe consider adding this to Portage...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

needs gnet 2.x and gtk+ 2.x; make use of USE nls

You need the ed2k core from they site.
Comment 3 Daniel Seyffer 2003-08-23 04:07:39 UTC
mhm, yes, you're right.
Or an overnet core, I forgot to mention that it is also an overnet gui. But no mldonkey support.
Comment 4 Jose Gonzalez Gomez 2003-09-26 10:28:32 UTC
I have emerged this, and it seems to work fine with the overnet package from
net-p2p.

Comment 6 Julien Allanos (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-17 11:05:20 UTC
this ebuild may be renamed to work for the 0.6.1 version of ed2k-gui.
Comment 7 Julien Allanos (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-03 11:37:03 UTC
you can rename this ebuild to build the new 0.6.2 version. and maybe add it to portage :)
Comment 8 Colin Macdonald 2004-03-20 16:47:07 UTC
0.6.2 doesn't build for me on ~x86. Could this be because of gtk+ 2.4.0? (libgnet built correctly)

Also, the ebuild needs cleaned up a bit. Its full of comments from a template ebuild.

Here the error I get:
