Description Markus Peloquin 2009-05-29 05:31:11 UTC
Amarok crashes immediately as a non-root user. I could not manage to find any bad permission, but I could have missed some.

Recent upgrades I've made (rolling back did not fix):
x11-libs/pango-1.24.2 => -1.22.4
media-libs/freetype-1.4_pre20080316-r1 => -1.4_pre20080316-r2
kde-base/kde-env-4.2.3 => -4.2.3-r1
kde-base/libkworkspace-4.2.3 => -4.2.3-r1

Rolling back those packages did not fix the error.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:
Here's the crash output:

Comment 1 Markus Peloquin 2009-05-29 05:32:44 UTC
I should mention this is a nearly immediate crash. If I move ~/.kde4 and start amarok, I see the splash screen for a few seconds.
Comment 2 Markus Peloquin 2009-05-29 05:47:10 UTC
hmmm, xine crashes with a segmentation fault in libxine (according to gdb). Removing ~/.xine fixed it. It's been a long time since I ever touched media-libs/xine-lib.
