This is a new version of wolk-sources. Keep in mind that it is unstable (the kernel, the ebuild installs fine), I compiled the kernel, reboot, and experienced crashes (for example while rsync'ing). And there is another problem, before making config you have to edit /usr/src/linux-2.4.20-wolk4.8s/fs/Config.in to do a small typo fix: in line 168, that begin with '"DEBUG... ', place in the end a space and backslash, ' \'. Enjoy, Herton R. Krzesinski.

Created attachment 16728 [details] special workstation ebuild hmmm oki. this is an ebuild i created a long time ago because somebody want to have the workstation patches included. with these use flags: wolk-bootsplash, wolk-win4lin, wolk-supermount and ipv6 special workstation patches will be applied ( like thier names ;) ). MENTION !! when you apply one of the use flags to the ebuild, the special ide patch won't be apllied!! this ebuild is backwards compatible :). you have to edit the ebuild and make a few changes by yourself: KV=${OKV}-wolk4.8s must be renamed to the version you want THE WIN4LIN stuff must deleted completely because the first wolk-patch is exclusive for 4.8 and was overwritten by the wolk-dev who supports the patch (yes there is only one destiantin to download them from), but i opened a thead on wolk 4.1/4.2 there you can download compatible win4lin files :) just create a new digest the new-ide patch must be deleted from SRC_URI of course from local PATCHEFILES="..." in src_unpack some versions must be deleted to fit for you needs. the bootsplash patches are incompatible with 4.5s don't flame me for this ebuild or in course of using new use flags or beause i am using epatch all the time ;) this ebuild is well tested and their shouldn't be any probs (with the ebuild). i hope you like it.

Created attachment 16796 [details] patch for alsa-driver 0.9.6 and wolk sources This is a patch to compile alsa-driver-0.9.6 with wolk-sources. The original wolk.patch file in alsa-driver-0.9.6 don't work anymore with wolk 4.9s, it needs another section of adriver.h to be patched. Just replace the original /usr/portage/media-sound/alsa-driver/files/wolk.patch with this one.

happily wolk now inckudes alsa in its workstation-editionn (alsa-0.9.6). after some testing you can find my workstation ebuild(s) here bugs #27552
I'll take this one; there should be a new ebuild for 4.9, with all the workstation patches, by tomorrow. And then a 4.10 shortly...
Most of the workstation patches are borked, but there are trimmed-down ebuilds for both 4.9-r1 (x86) and 4.10_pre7 (~x86). I'm waiting for the official 4.10s, and closing this bug.
