The version of dev-tex/foiltex in portage is incompatible
with the hyperref package which is part of TeXLive 2008.
See change log in http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/foiltex/

"Revision for 28 Jan. 2008 is for version 2.1.4b and fixes a minor
incompatibility with hyperref 6.77a."

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create simple foiltex document with a url (I use LyX to do this).
2.Run pdfLaTeX.
3.This will produce error messages about undefined commands.

Actual Results:  
PDF document not generated.

Expected Results:  
PDF document produced without error messages!

Manually replacing foiltex 2.1.4a with 2.1.4b corrected this
problem.
