When trying to emerge xfree-4.3.0-r3 it wants XFree86-4.3.0-patches-2.1.10.tar.bz2 which, though the file gets downloaded from the trumpetti mirror, it thinks it doesn't and continually tries to fetch it from every mirror in its list until it finally bombs out. The file is chmod 600 and even changing it to 644/755/777 doesn't help. Using an old ebuild that wants XFree86-4.3.0-patches-2.1.9.tar.bz2 works correctly.

Same here, it looks like the size of the file is smaller than the size in the digest, so portage keeps trying to resume the download where there is nothing more to download.

digest regenerated. plesae emerge sync in about 30 minutes
