Please stabilize konversation, it is the last kde3 version, i changed slot to :3.5 and EAPI-2'ed.

Now that Konversation 1.1 is sloted, how about adding 1.2-alpha1 for us KDE4 users?

Apparently has been stabilized, since it emerged on this system.

I am having a problem getting a /list from freenode. When I send the command /list, I get about 5 seconds of heavy network activity (150K over DSL) and under the list tab the displayed items continuously change/scroll or something else. The list tab is unusable.

This is on an AMD X2 38000 system. If emerge -info information or anything else is desired, I can provide.

Regarding the /list command, it should generally work better in 1.1 than in 1.0.x. Citing our 1.1 changelog:

* IRC markup is now removed from content in the Channel List view.
* Speed improvements in Channel List views.
* Fixed keyboard accelerator collisions in Channel List views.
* Allow higher values than 99 in the min/max users filter spin boxes in Channel
  List views.

We also haven't had any bug reports in the eight or nine months since 1.1 was released, so it doesn't seem to have regressed over 1.0.x.

Retrieving the channel list *is* performance-intensive while the data comes pouring in, and the app shows a warning dialog to that effect when invoking the feature.
