Does downgrading xproto to 7.0.14 solve this for you?

Yes downgrading helps to fix it for me.

sed -i -e 's:>=x11-proto/xproto-7.0.6:<=x11-proto/xproto-7.0.14:' libX11-*.ebuild and mask xproto-7.0.15 with the other new X stuff?

NAK, let's just put xproto 7.0.15 back into p.mask with the other protos and libs...

Feel free to beat me to it.

Thanks

xproto 7.0.15 is now back under p.mask. It'll get lifted along with the other protos and libs.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the report.
