Using KDE 4.2 and firefox 3.5b from the mozilla([Subversion] (svn://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/mozilla) overlay, and java version 1.6.0.13 causes crashes to my system. That's when I get to a site that uses java (like : http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/5000070900.xml) As soon as the java-applet loads the desktop gets all messed up, I get a notification that compositing has been disabled and periodically the system freezes(can't move or do notihng for short times..). Also, the Edit-->Preferences windows is blank, it shows no options, no text or anything, just blank..
Same thing happens using Konqueror, so it's not firefox specific.
OK, it seems compositing is the problem, with compositing disabled java/jre seems fine. ;-) It should be fixed though.
