owfs version in portage (2.7_p4) is old and has some notable bugs.  2.7_p21 is current and has patched those bugs.  It works fine by just copying the current ebuild to the new version number; no additional mods requested.

In addition, please add arm keyword.

Tested on x86 and arm, both without issues.

Does the in-tree version works fine on arm? If not, we'll wait until it gets bumped

The in-tree version does work on arm, just as well as it does on x86.  Both x86 and arm have a bug in the software that impacts some features (which we depend upon heavily) that are fixed in p21, which also works on arm.
