Description Boyd Waters 2003-08-20 20:09:09 UTC
The Configure script shipped with pcmcia-cs package insists upon a particular
version of the package "modutils", which is particular to pre-2.6 kernels.

2.5 and later systems need only the module-init-tools pacakge, but in order to
build pcmcia-cs, you have to install modutils to satisfy the Configure script:

# emerge modutils
# emerge pcmcia-cs
# emerge modutils unmerge

Otherwise it builds and works fine on a 2.6-only system.

This has been fixed in pcmcia-cs-3.2.5-r1. Thanks for the heads up.
