Unfortunately there is no ebuild for sci-visualization/paraview which lets build a (qt4) GUI for paraview. (Without the GUI, paraview is next to useless). For the version in portage (up to 3.4.0) the qt4 flag is masked. Version 3.6.0 is announced but up to the release I need an ebuild for the CVS version of paraview. Unfortunately I am not accustomed to cmake. My current version fails to link since it cannot find a library which it has built itself in <BUILDDIR>/bin. I'll add my current attempt as an attachment. Dear Helmut, Paraview-3.6.1 is now in portage and it should work fine with the GUI and >=qt4.4. I don't think I have the resources to maintain a cvs/svn ebuild for paraview since it is quite a tricky package to build in general even from the released sources. Hence, I will close this request as INVALID and hope that's all right. Best, Markus
