Thx for bug. fixed in r4 :]
Reopening, will use this bug for stabilisation.
Please stabilise the gtk-engines-qt-0.8-r4 because the older are quite broken now including the current stable one. KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~ia64 ~ppc ~ppc64 ~sparc ~x86 ~x86-fbsd" so the targets are amd64 ia64 ppc ppc64 sparc x86

There is still a bug in this thing. I got the following (manually translated) error: mv: Execution of stat for „/var/tmp/portage/x11-themes/gtk-engines-qt-0.8-r4/image///usr/kde/3.5/share/temp/de fr“ impossible: File or Directory not found * * ERROR: x11-themes/gtk-engines-qt-0.8-r4 failed. * Call stack: * ebuild.sh, line 49: Called src_install * environment, line 4521: Called die * The specific snippet of code: * mv "${D}/${KDEDIR}"/share/temp/"${lang}" "${D}/${KDEDIR}"/share/locale || die; * The die message: * (no error message) * * If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant. * A complete build log is located at '/var/log/portage/elogs/x11-themes:gtk-engines-qt-0.8-r4:20090523-174351.log'. * The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/x11-themes/gtk-engines-qt-0.8-r4/temp/environment'. Do you need any of those files or anything? I think not, because I suspect that the original tester compiled it with only one language in LINGUAS in his make.conf, while mine looks like this: LINGUAS="de en en_GB fr" Unfortunately I can not create a test method that would allow me to change this variable without badly affecting a running system. Maybe someone of you just could test if it compiles, when he uses my LINGUAS...
Ok, I could get a hold on a unused clone of the other machine, and doing this temporarily solves the problem (but will only give you support for one language): LINGUAS="de" emerge -a1tv =x11-themes/gtk-engines-qt-0.8-r4 emerge -atv --resume --skip-first (Example for language „de“.)
ppc stable
(In reply to comment #9) Use Emile de Weerd patch, problem with quotes at LINGUAS loop. > There is still a bug in this thing. amd64/x86 stable
(In reply to comment #12) > (In reply to comment #9) > > Use Emile de Weerd patch, problem with quotes at LINGUAS loop. I hope the patch is in that thing when I sync Portage next week. You know. Because it’s useless, as long as it’s just lying around here. ^^
ia64 will pass, sparc stable, closing
