With current portage tree (timestamp Thu May 14 12:11:45 UTC 2009) you get some file collisions owned by kdebase-kioslaves when emerging krusader. Some days before (with older tree) it worked. I suppose it has to do something with the preperations for the shiny new slotted KDE-4.2 because the positions of some krusader files have changed now (while staying the same version 1.90.0). Example: - before (without KDE-3.5 prefix/slot) /usr/lib/kde3/kio_tar.so - new (with KDE-3.5 prefix/slot) /usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/kio_tar.so I also see the new 3.5 prefix now on other (working) applications too, like kdiff3. Please look also in coresponding forum thread: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-763754.html Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. update system to current portage tree (tested timestamp Thu May 14 12:11:45 UTC 2009) 2. emerge -av =kde-misc/krusader-1.90.0 3. -> file collison with kde-base/kdebase-kioslaves-3.5.9 Actual Results: --------- snap -------- >>> Installing kde-misc/krusader-1.90.0 * checking 269 files for package collisions * This package will overwrite one or more files that may belong to other * packages (see list below). You can use a command such as `portageq * owners / <filename>` to identify the installed package that owns a * file. If portageq reports that only one package owns a file then do * NOT file a bug report. A bug report is only useful if it identifies at * least two or more packages that are known to install the same file(s). * If a collision occurs and you can not explain where the file came from * then you should simply ignore the collision since there is not enough * information to determine if a real problem exists. Thanks to the issue above the package which broke is in stable arch. So please fast stabilise mine fix. Major priority cause it broke stable. KTHX KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~ppc ~ppc64 ~sparc ~x86" So targets are amd64 ppc ppc64 sparc x86 Thanks for coop.
Oh and for the reporter, just emerge krusader-1.90-r1 in the meantime :]
Created attachment 191396 [details, diff] krusader-1.90.0-r2.ebuild.diff I think it better solution of collisions then rm -rf at -r1
Created attachment 191398 [details, diff] krusader-1.90.0-r1_r2.ebuild.diff same as previous but diff to r1
Just tested Yar Odin's -r2 patch and it installs OK, no file collisions. Thanks.
krusader-1.90.0-r1.ebuild in tree was updated with Yar Odin's patch. thanks :)
Just tested new ebuild in main portage tree and can verify working! Nice and fast help, Thanks :-)
