xorg-server-1.5.3-r5 with intel drivers (2.6 and 2.7) becomes black screen after closing and opening laptop. At first I was thinking that problem is with my kernel configuration, but with vesa video everything works fine. Without xorg turned on everything is fine too. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use intel with Xorg 2. Close laptop/open laptop. ->black screen which can be turned off with ctrl+alt+bcksp Maybe there is override? somehow is is possible to simply disable that "close" button in kernel?

Please try a newer kernel, on from ~arch. Or even better, from git-sources instead of gentoo-sources. Thanks
Tested .29-r3 with intel 2.7.1 same bug also xorg hangs after entering openbox menu. One more bug. Should I test .30?

Today I updated to kernel .30-r1 and xorg-server 1.6* still same bug. I will add logs.

(In reply to comment #9) > No luck while emerging it. Sorry about that, I've fixed it. Please sync in a hour and try emerging it again. Thanks
Created attachment 197085 [details] build.log np. I tired now and still no luck.
*tried. :)
You probably need libtool 2.2 to build it. This might get a bit complex. You might want to try xf86-video-intel-9999 from the x11 overlay. You'll have to install git but there's a fairly good chance it'll work. Thanks
ahh. Sorry, but I do not want to mess around too much. Why can not I just keyword libtool-2.2.6a?
You can keyword libtool 2.2 if you want, but that's a _much_ bigger mess than getting -9999 from the overlay. Just take a look at bugzilla for the libtool 2.2 tracker bug and you'll understand :)
I think I will wait until it will be stabilized then. If you think my testing will help to fix something faster so I will try then.
Still not fixed in *.902 drivers.
Ok, if .902 doesn't fix it, please open a bug report in FreeDesktop's bugzilla [1] and paste the url here. Thanks [1] http://intellinuxgraphics.org/how_to_report_bug.html

Please do read again the link I posted in comment #18 and add all the information requested. Upstream needs that information in their bugzilla, they won't come and read it here. Closing, let's track the bug upstream directly. Thanks
