Description William Swartzendruber 2009-05-08 02:03:08 UTC
The dialog behavior for nm-applet seems to be non-standard. Opening the properties for a connection gives you two buttons: Cancel and Apply. Choosing "Cancel" will close not only the dialog you're in, but its parent as well. Choosing "Apply" will not only apply the settings but close the current dialog.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the nm-applet main window.
2. Open the properties for a connection.
3. Click "Cancel" or "Apply".

Actual Results:
Cancel: The dialog and its parent close.
Apply: The settings are applied and the dialog closes.

Expected Results:
Cancel: The current dialog closes and its parent stays open.
Apply: Perhaps it would be more sensible to rename this to "OK".

The cancel behavior is not present on Fedora 10.

if you touch fields you don't know, your bug gets misassigned and untouched, please don't do this, for devs sake and yours.

Works fine here with 0.7.1-r3

I am marking this bug as fixed because the problem is fixed with -r6.
