The hyperlink for herds.xml to http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/misc/herds.xml?rev=HEAD&cvsroot=gentoo from the herds documentation page, section 3 (http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/metastructure/herds/) produces the following error message: Error loading stylesheet: An XSLT stylesheet does not have an XML mimetype: http://www.gentoo.org/xsl/guide.xsl Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Follow the symlink for herds.xml (unformatted).
This herds file is not supposed to be viewed in one's browser. That's what the "(formatted)" link is for located to the right of the herds.xml link.
Then I would suggest not to make it a clickable hyper-link, for it is confusing. If you want to provide a link to download the file, then maybe a link named "download" would be more appropriate.
When cvs works again I'll try to set the mimetype to text/plain, after which the browser should stop complaining. Basically that version is the authorative, while the formatted one is a manual copy to the web dir.
This has been fixed for quite some time now. Must have forgotten to close it
