Please keyword the packages below. IO-Compress is a new package containing the former Compress-Zlib, IO-Compress-Zlib, IO-Compress-Bzip2, IO-Compress-Base. - emerge =virtual/perl-Archive-Tar - then unmask the packages - emerge =virtual/perl-Archive-Tar works without problems for me. All of them are in package.mask. # these virtuals will be removed later # they pull perl-IO-Compress in =virtual/perl-Compress-Zlib-2.019 =virtual/perl-IO-Compress-Zlib-2.019 =virtual/perl-IO-Compress-Bzip2-2.019 =virtual/perl-IO-Compress-Base-2.019 # new versions =perl-core/IO-Compress-2.019 =virtual/perl-IO-Compress-2.019 =perl-core/Compress-Raw-Zlib-2.019 =virtual/perl-Compress-Raw-Zlib-2.019 =perl-core/Compress-Raw-Bzip2-2.019 =virtual/perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2-2.019
@mips: If you don't comment or add your keyword, I'll do it for you. (#262363) If any other arch team wants me to add their keyword, say it.
Why is it masked in the first place?
Marked ~hppa.
(In reply to comment #2) > Why is it masked in the first place? Because I needed time to work on this upgrade, some packages were moved from dev-perl to perl-core and the upgrade path is ugly with all these virtuals. Ok, let's do it a different way: I add all the keywords and the arch teams test the upgrade path and whether there is any test failure. (Are there any blockers that are not automatically resolved?) Then we unmask it.
Looks okay on alpha/arm/ia64/s390/sh/sparc
The packages will be unmasked soon!
Unmasked. Please file bugs if anything breaks. Now move to bug 273141
