When trying to send a mail I get this "Send Message Error" error:

  Sending of message failed.
  Error writing temporary file.

Previous Thunderbird installations did not throw this problem to me.
Especially as there is no other 2.x ebuild in the tree this is a serious showstopper.  Please do something about it asap.

Sorry to bug you, seem like it was a disk space issue :-(
