Description Ahmed Farid 2003-08-17 18:25:52 UTC
it'd be really nice if those were included in the mm-sources since the default
i2c in 2.6.x is useless (atleast for me).

peace

I2C is intergrated into 2.6. There are no patches, they are already in 2.6. Make sure your baselayout is up to date, and make sure the /sys directory exists and the sysfs should be mounted there automatically along with the sensors [ you can just 'cat' them to get data out of them ] at boot. Try using the dev-sources and see if that helps. Make sure you compiled the right I2C driver and the right sensors. Otherwise, not much will happen.

Filing as INVALID as I2C is intergrated into the kernel. If you still have problems, contact the I2C maintainers [see MAINTAINERS in your 2.6.x kernel source directory] or Andrew Morton, we're not the people to speak to at this moment in time as there is no 2.6 gentoo kernel yet and this is not a gentoo-kernel related bug...
