I got that too. My guess is that it's introduced with the xscreensaver-5.08-po-recreate.patch (And, I don't think this matches criterias for critical, but I wasn't allowed to change that.)
By any chance, any of you guys using XFS or tmpfs on the partition you store PORTAGE_TMPDIR?
Yes, I use xfs
(In reply to comment #2) > By any chance, any of you guys using XFS or tmpfs on the partition you store > PORTAGE_TMPDIR? Nope, I'm using lvm2 (ext4).
I reproduced with tmpfs, few in #gentoo-bugs was unable to reproduce with reiserfs. This is one of those weird bugs. It reminded me of bug 259434 . That one was solved by smuxi-0.6.3-infinite-loop.patch, if that's any inspiration.
- Add "autotools" to the "inherit" line of the ebuild - Add "eautoconf" at the end of src_prepare() function And try again..
(In reply to comment #6) > - Add "autotools" to the "inherit" line of the ebuild > - Add "eautoconf" at the end of src_prepare() function > > And try again.. > Yes, that worked.
phew.... 30 Apr 2009; Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> + xscreensaver-5.08-r1.ebuild: + Run plain eautoconf wrt #268016, thanks to Peter Alfredsen and Christer + Ekholm for testing. Seems this needs to be autoconfed but not autoreconfed + to work. + no matter what intltoolize, gettext, autoconf, aclocal, automake .. commands you pass to this package, someway it just doesn't work for someone wish me luck, thanks guys
