Sonata needs gnome-python-extras for enhanced system tray support like changing volume via mousewheel over systray icon. The current ebuilds don't depend on gnome-python-extras and have no useflag to let the user enable that. Please introduce a use-flag to enable that enhanced systray support.
gnome-python-extras is a meta package, and deps on following pkgs, RDEPEND="=dev-python/egg-python-${PV}* =dev-python/gdl-python-${PV}* =dev-python/gtkhtml-python-${PV}* =dev-python/gtkmozembed-python-${PV}* =dev-python/gtkspell-python-${PV}* =dev-python/libgksu-python-${PV}* =dev-python/libgda-python-${PV}*" so which one is needed? reopen with information, thanks.
it's dev-python/egg-python. i tried that by removing gnome-python-extras and emerging only egg-python and that works for me. and debian's dependency list shows that, too. http://packages.debian.org/lenny/sonata thanks, marens
