Description Audiodef 2009-04-30 02:38:18 UTC
Latest xulrunner fails to emerge on world update. I asked around on the forums here, it's at http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-5693066.html#5693066. Let me know what else I can provide. It's holding up everything after xulrunner in a world update since the past couple of weeks.

Reproducible: Always

Please post the output of "emerge --info xulrunner" and attach the build.log file of the failed emerge. That would be a good start ;)
Comment 2 Matthias Schwarzott gentoo-dev 2009-04-30 08:27:00 UTC
Well, you can continue your world update with
emerge --resume --skipfirst

or better with newer portage, use
emerge -u --keep-going world
so emerge will ignore the failing package and the packages depending on it and continue with all other packages.

Comment 4 Audiodef 2009-04-30 13:21:09 UTC
Unfortunately, I tried to attach the build.log, and although the file is NOT emtpy (I can less it, etc.), the upload form thinks it's empty. So, what next?
Comment 5 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-30 13:32:01 UTC
Did you try to emerge xulrunner with ccache being disabled?
Comment 6 Audiodef 2009-05-02 15:39:08 UTC
I was about to mark it resolved, for similar reasons. Apparently the bug is with portage and ccache, not xulrunner. Clearing the cache allowed it to compile. Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the comments.
