Description Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2009-04-28 09:04:25 UTC
In the version bump (and cleanup) from 0.53.*, the MurrineThemePack.tar.bz2 disappeared from SRC_URI. It has some nice themes, including my favorite, cappucino ;)

They load fine with 0.90.3

Maintainer changed (with permission from jokey)

I split out the themes into a separate package specifically so that extra themes aren't forced on people. I don't see any reason for adding more themes since they can be trivially installed locally.

Splitting themes, why not. But dropping 2 thirds of them in the process, forcing users to manually install it on every system they use it when it was included before ?? (including the theme pack that if you had read this bug was there in previous versions) => #270881

Actually, I just realised something. My original thought on dropping extra themes was so people aren't forced to install them. But I made that m00t when I split the themes out. Reopening, will readd the themes.

So here's the list now:

SRC_URI="${URI_PREFIX}/MurrinaAquaIsh.tar.bz2
${URI_PREFIX}/MurrinaBlu-0.32.tar.gz
${URI_PREFIX}/MurrinaCandido.tar.gz
${URI_PREFIX}/MurrinaGilouche.tar.bz2
${URI_PREFIX}/MurrinaFancyCandy.tar.bz2
${URI_PREFIX}/MurrinaLoveGray.tar.bz2
${URI_PREFIX}/MurrineThemePack.tar.bz2
${URI_PREFIX}/MurrinaVerdeOlivo.tar.bz2
${URI_PREFIX}/MurrineXfwm.tar.bz2

Sufficient?

Personally I still use Clearlooks, but it would be enough for my father (that uses MurrinaAquaIsh)

Of course, I am not sure about hwo do you want to handle murrine-themes pack, if I were the maintainer I probably would try to ship all current murrine themes. That way, people wanting a more minimal installation wouldn't install it while more lazy people (like me ;-)) would simply install it for getting all murrine themes :-)

But it's up to you of course :-)

Best regards
