kvm-85.ebuild appears to be missing "linux-mod" from the "inherit" line. The "kernel_is" and "linux_chkconfig_present" functions are both defined in the linux-info.eclass which is inherited by the linux-mod.eclass. Not fixed in the tree, the -r1 ebuild doesn't contain the "linux-mod" inheritance.
Sorry, I misread that as being kvm detection failed (which was fixed before in -r1). This is now fixed for real.
