The symlink to /usr/src/linux is set and points to the actual kerne

I have kvm-84 running and and compiling this version against the samke kernel works fine.

These are the flags used:
app-emulation/kvm-85 [84] USE="ncurses -alsa -esd -gnutls -havekernel -modules -pulseaudio -sdl -test -vde" 0 kB
Comment 2 Richard Bland 2009-04-28 08:44:54 UTC
Me too on this. FWIW:

ted linux # cat .config | grep KVM
CONFIG_HAVE_KVM=y
CONFIG_KVM=y
CONFIG_KVM_INTEL=m
# CONFIG_KVM_AMD is not set

Comment 3 Shaun Attfield 2009-04-28 10:20:40 UTC
kvm-85.ebuild appears to be missing "linux-mod" from the "inherit" line.

The "kernel_is" and "linux_chkconfig_present" functions are both defined in the linux-info.eclass which is inherited by the linux-mod.eclass.

I can not test or make a patch at this time, but it is an easy change.

On Line 6, Change:
inherit eutils flag-o-matic toolchain-funcs
to:
inherit eutils flag-o-matic toolchain-funcs linux-mod

can confirm bug and fix. just fixed it myself like that, was about to submit bug report on it :)
Comment 5 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-28 16:49:13 UTC
Already fixed in 85-r1
Comment 6 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-28 16:49:31 UTC
whoops, and close.
Comment 7 Markus Hauschild 2009-04-28 17:28:34 UTC
Not fixed for me with 85-r1

Calculating dependencies... done!

Comment 8 Thomas Beinicke 2009-04-28 17:35:07 UTC
Not fixed in the tree, the -r1 ebuild doesn't contain the "linux-mod" inheritance.
Comment 9 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-28 17:46:11 UTC
Sorry, I misread that as being kvm detection failed (which was fixed before in -r1). This is now fixed for real.
