On first startup after updating to media-video/kdenlive-0.7.3 it does some checks and tells the user to upgrade MLT.

The README recommends version 0.3.8, so please change the DEPDEND variable to depend on

>=media-libs/mlt-0.3.8-r1
and
>=media-libs/mlt++-0.3.8
