Description Jacek Mateusz 'daeron' Ławrynowicz 2009-04-26 15:50:00 UTC
I got circular dependencies error every time I run "emerge gcc -vp". Of course I can emerge gcc if I'll disable use flags or try to emerge with --nodeps those things that cause the problem. It should be fixed anyway.

Reproducible: Always

You should temporarily disable some USE flags (e.g. X cups dbus doc gtk java qt4). Next enable one of these flags and run `emerge -uDN world`. Next enable another flag and run `emerge -uDN world`...

Shouldn't there be a way to emerge despite of circular deps? If I remember correctly, there's such function in paludis. I've posted this bug report to ask, if there is another option than manually disable use flags or if it can be fixed.
