Description George Shapovalov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-25 17:07:00 UTC
Arches, please stabilize virtual/ada-1995 and -2005. This is a new-style virtual, just containing deps on "real" packages and I got stabilization requests from users. Both versions depend on combination of gnat-gcc or gnat-gpl versions that properly support an appropriate Ada standard and all gnat SLOTs already have stable version in.

The only exception is the =dev-lang/gnat-gpl-3.4* variant in virtual/ada-1995 (its a || dep). Should I file a bug about this one? Still, portage should fins one of the stable variants given a request from stable ebuild and that is an old veriosn that is unlikely to get a stabilization request, so we need not bother unless really necessary..

As no compiling is necessary and all "testing" I could think of consists of running repoman on modifications (and they come out clean) I can perform the stabilization myself, however I am not sure of policy for such situation, so I submitted the normal stabilization request. Just give me a word and I can stabilize this one myself..

Added arches to CC, as original submission seem to have missed them.

I added x86, normally, you can do it yourself if a provider of the virtual are confirmed (via KEYWORDS) to work on x86.
