There seems to be a similar problem with system-tools-backends like there was in grdesktop in bug 253463. When I have emerged app-admin/system-tools-backends-2.6.1, I have a file: /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/@GETTEXT_PACKAGE@.mo This seems like some "unexpanded macro" type of problem. I just meant that it *would have* collided with the old grdesktop which also had a file like this before it was fixed. So this package just needs a similar fix done to it.
Not sure if i reported a duplicate but i opened up bug #270338 for this
hum grdesktop was already fixed since 31 Jan 2009. Without a bump though that's why you might have hit this problem. Closing fixed. Thanks for reporting.
