Description Michael Palimaka (kensington) gentoo-dev 2009-04-22 18:48:56 UTC
gw6c stores received server keys in the file 'gw6ckeys.pub' in the current working directory. When launched using the init script, this is / causing a file to be written to the root directory.

I'd have written a patch but I'm not sure what the correct solution is, whether the source should be patched to write somewhere sensible, or if the init script should just change directory.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure gw6 to connect to some IPv6 gateway
2. /etc/init.d/gw6c start

Actual Results:
gw6ckeys.pub is written to /

Expected Results:
gw6ckeys.pub should be written to somewhere sensible.

Comment 1 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2009-06-03 16:34:17 UTC
start-stop-daemon has an option for initial chdir, I'll update the init script to start in /var/lib/gateway6 (where broker list and last server used files already end up)
Comment 2 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2009-06-04 07:41:45 UTC
Init script updated in portage, I've also added a revision bump to 6.0 so everyone gets the fix (6.0-r1 is next stable candidate then now)

Thanks for the bugreport and indications!
