Description Alexander Bezrukov 2009-04-22 12:43:14 UTC
Hello,

I am trying to boot into any of (that is, minimal or universal) Gentoo Install CD 2008.0 on a T-Platforms' 1U cell server which is essentially the same as IBM QS22 blade plus some additional peripherals. I am watching on both a SOL session and a serial console on ttyS1.

I am successfully getting into yaboot prompt. Then I tried many choices, including the default and including passing the console=... to the kernel command line. In all cases boot doesn't go any farther than

boot:
Please wait, loading kernel...

Are you still running into this problem?

Please try one of the new autobuilds and reopen if its still an issue:

Mark, sorry, I lost free access to the hardware. Sometimes I access systems of our customers but these are production systems which obviously cannot be easily rebooted.
Since opening this bug I didn't look into the problem further for I have a bootable CD which gives me shell access.
