I want to join the version request ;-) . There are also new tuxonice patches available (version 3.0.1), which fix nasty bugs. At my laptop the new versions have problems with hibernate, when the dvb-t kernel modules are loaded, and so the system cannot suspend. Some problem in a tuxonice.c file or the like .. kernel oops. It is not listed in the log because syslogd is shutdown at hibernate and the hibernate log doesn't show any error. At my PC, only the version 2.6.28-r8 is working perfectly (with the old hibernate(1.99-r1) and tuxonice-userui-0.7.3 ebuilds). The new ones seem to have some problems (2.6.28-r9 and 2.6.29). And the behaviour of the conf files has changed to use tuxonice.conf, but some commands in the new file don't work anymore or cause nothing (for example the DownInterfaces, UpInterfaces, RestartServices, ...) 2.6.29.1 fixes also security problems with CIFS/SMB module and others, so the version bump has also security reasons. So, please. maintainer proceed and apply the patches to fix the bugs and test the new versions to track the issues. Thank you, best regards. B.A. (x86)
