You need to run firebird using the MozillaFirebird wrapper, which properly sets library paths and other variables needed to launch the application.

I did, but the script just exits...

Reopening bug so the moz. ebuilders can have a look at it [ this is not an invalid bug ]...

I think this happend just because it's highly experimental... since then
I've managed to compile and run firebird fine.
