do you have a direct download link or do we need to fetch restrict it or mirror it ourselves?
The download of Ardour requires to go through a donation path now. My suggestion is to get an approval from Paul Davis to mirror Ardour version 2.8
I believe a simple fetch restriction would do the trick. And by the way, it is a perfectly legal action to choose to pay 0$ for the download.
Any news on if this is going to see its way into the portage tree anytime soon or not? Would be great to be able to update my version of ardour with the newest release!
