mplayer 0.91 has been released and needs an ebuild.
Hi all busy updateing mplayer to .91 doing a pretty standard version bump. Also adding depend for faad2 (so that most matrix stuff plays) seems most of the new qtime movies uses faad for sound. Also keeping the defaul skin patch for gtk and will test for gtk working correctly as well. will upload as soon as I have a working installation and will cc ebuild owner Martin Schlemmer <azarah@gentoo.org> bain
Created attachment 16419 [details] mplayer-0.91.ebuild.tar.gz tar file for mplayer directory in media-video. Updates to mplayer 0.91. normal version bump with faad support added to depend, kep default skin fix but removed gtk patch since it's seems to be building correctly (please check) version 1.00rc is out soona nd will help there as well. anyway give it a wirl, ad bitch in my direction if I messed something up. bain
I did add .91. Dunno, but gtk2 builds fine here. Also, faad2 is a dep if you have 'mpeg' in USE (for some time now actually) ....
add it to portage ? Hmmm I did a sync and checked latest I have is 0.90_rc4 Also I have mpeg installed and it didn't install faad2 either way .. just thought I'd contribute .. bain
And its appreciated. The faad2 dep was added in 0.90-r2 if I remember correctly. This should also be the stable one .... What rsync mirror are you using ? ------------------------------------------------- azarah@nosferatu gentoo-x86 $ grep faad2 media-video/mplayer/* media-video/mplayer/ChangeLog: - Change DEPEND to only depend and enable faad2 support if 'mpeg' in USE, media-video/mplayer/ChangeLog: Added faad2 and enabling faad in econf -- satisies many requests to be able to media-video/mplayer/mplayer-0.90-r2.ebuild: mpeg? I have a central rsync server on my network that grabs everything from rsync.gentoo.org. I've removed my local sync and resyncing again to see if this is the problem. bain
